How it works

Ship it, scan it, send it back around.

Circle Back is one continuous record for a physical thing — from the vendor's shelf, to your door, to the recovery point, and back into circulation.

The Circle Back loop

A vendor ships in Circle Back packaging.

Step by step

What actually happens at each stage.

01

Ship

Vendors in the network ship orders in Circle Back packaging. Each unit is registered before it leaves — material type, size, and owner.

  • Reusable boxes, mailers, and recoverable inserts
  • Every unit carries its own permanent Circle Back code
  • Vendors see what's out in the field in real time
02

Scan

The customer scans the tag when the order arrives. That single scan opens the return options and starts the recovery window.

  • Works in any phone browser — no app download
  • No account needed to see your return options
  • Sign in only when you want to collect points
03

Return

Three routes back, so location and schedule never decide whether something gets recovered.

  • Drop-off at a nearby recovery point
  • Prepaid mail-in label straight from the scan page
  • Neighborhood pickup, timed ahead of your trash day
04

Recover

Every handoff is scanned, so the record follows the material instead of the paperwork.

  • Chain of custody at each scan: who, where, when
  • Condition graded on check-in
  • Routed to reuse, repurposing, resale, or a vetted recycler
05

Reward

Circle Points post to the customer once the item is verified — the loop pays back the person who closed it.

  • Points scale with material type and condition
  • Redeem with participating vendors
  • Vendors see the loyalty they funded, item by item
Follow one box

One package. One record. Many trips.

Every tracked unit keeps a single ID from the vendor's shelf to its next life. Tap a stage to see what happens there.
